Guaymas Destinies of Sonant is located to 117 kilometers to the south of Hermosillo. This copretty municipality to the north, with the Red one; to the south with San Ignacio Muerto River; to the east, with Great Suaqui, Cajeme and Bcum; to the northwest, with Hermosillo and to the southwest, with the Gulf of California and Empalme. It owns a surface of 12.208,18 kilometers squared, that represents the 6,58 of the state total. The most important localities are: Vcam, Potam, the Gusimas, Ortiz and Santa Clara. Main Attractive Tourist the city and port of Guaymas are the main national and foreign tourist destiny in the State of Sonant. The tourist zone of beach, is to a lesser extent located to the northwest of the port, being the region of the Bay of San Carlos and his environs as well as the Bay of Bacochibampo and Miramar beach.

Guaymas counts on a supply of consisting of lodging 24 establishments, between hotels, motels and houses of guests; with a total of 1.801 rooms. In addition it counts on 4 tourist condominiums, 2 navy with spaces to give shelter to 798 boats and 5 fields for tows with a total of 729 spaces. The most famous festival of the port is the Carnival, that is celebrated in the month of February of every year from 1888. The main points of interest in Guaymas are: The church of San Fernando who dates from century XIX and the one of the Sacred Heart. The bank of Sonant constructed in the neoclassic style. The City council that dates from 1899. The place of San Fernando with its Kiosco. The structure of the fisherman (symbol of the city). The place of the Three Presidents constructed in honor of Adolph of the Kitchen garden, Plutarco Elas Calles and Abelardo Rodriguez, all native of Guaymas and presidents of Mexico.
